Sentinel Contracting Plc has been chosen to deliver revitalisation of luxury Westbury Hotel and the development of Chiswick Health Centre. These projects both aim to deliver significant sustainability gains with upgraded and modernised fire protection and a 77% reduction in carbon emissions. In collaboration with Sir Robert McAlpine, Sentinel Contracting Plc is playing a pivotal role in the extensive retrofit of the iconic Westbury Hotel in Mayfair. This luxury hotel, originally built in the 1950s, is undergoing a significant transformation to meet modern standards of safety and sustainability. The project involves delivering advanced fire protection and firestopping solutions to the reinforced concrete frames of the building. 

Retrofitting older structures, especially those with historical significance, presents unique challenges. The Westbury Hotel’s reinforced concrete frames, typical of its era, require meticulous attention to detail to ensure they meet today’s stringent fire safety regulations. This £40 million ‘all in one healthcare hub’ is set to become a vital community resource, offering three GP practices, consulting and examination rooms, a central courtyard, and community rooms. With a goal of serving over 60,000 patients and achieving a 77% reduction in carbon emissions, this project exemplifies the future of sustainable healthcare facilities. 

Working under the leadership of Willmott Dixon, the Sentinel team is responsible for delivering specialist painting works throughout the new health centre. From the precise detailing in the consulting rooms to the expansive surfaces of the community areas, our team is applying their expertise to create a welcoming and professional environment.
